    HEALTH CARE TRUST FOR AEFO MEMBERS (FSSBM-AEFO) — BRAND RECOGNITION CAMPAIGN

    APPROACH

    In this animated video, an experienced teacher and a new hire tour a metaphorical amusement park while she explains the roles of the managers, employees, and customers. Parallels are made between the operation of the park and the various players involved in the management and execution of member health and dental benefits.

    BACKGROUND

    The Trust was facing brand recognition challenges. Approximately 7 out of 10 members did not recognize the brand and had a poor understanding of the organization’s role in relation to their employee benefits. We designed a playful video explaining the healthcare and dental benefits landscape and the various players within it.

    ASSOCIATION DES ENSEIGNANTES ET ENSEIGNANTS FRANCO-ONTARIENS (FRANCO-ONTARIEN TEACHERS’ ASSOCIATION) – AEFO – MEMBER RECOGNITION

    BACKGROUND

    Since 2020, we have been producing two videos each year in support of the AEFO’s recognition awards which celebrate the outstanding commitment of two deserving members. The first award category highlights an individual for their extraordinary work with youth, and the second for their exceptional commitment to AEFO members in their union work. Over the years, we have produced twelve emotionally charged videos that shed light on the dedication of these deserving individuals.

    APPROACH

    The videos give us a glimpse into the lives of these exceptional people during a typical workday. Their students, colleagues, and friends tell us how much of a positive influence they have had on them. A judicious selection of sound bites and images allows viewers to discover the spark that drives each of these individuals who inspire us with their kindness and commitment.

    PARENTS PARTENAIRES EN ÉDUCATION (PPE) – AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

    BACKGROUND

    In 2022, we coordinated and produced a series of 14 videos highlighting family diversity (Indigenous, single parents, immigrants, LGBTQ, multilingual). These touching stories aim to raise awareness in school communities about the importance of being inclusive of families of all kinds. The videos encourage reflection on the importance of acceptance and kindness.

    APPROACH

    We conducted pre-interviews, handled the logistics of filming, and collaborated with a camera operator to shoot the interviews and images in a way that captured the essence of each story. We then designed an editing plan without narration, letting the parents tell their own stories while ensuring the coherence of the narrative before presentation.

    The videos also served as the basis for a workshop on inclusivity that we facilitated to stimulate reflection on the importance of welcoming and caring for all families.
